This Valentine's Day dessert is one that the whole family will enjoy to both eat and make. Perfect to serve at a valentines day party or as a simple treat to satisfy your sweet tooth.

What You'll Need

  • 2 jumbo marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon of ready-to-spread white frosting
  • 1 cracker, halved
  • 2 miniature marshmallows
  • 1 piece of red licorice (about 3 inches in diameter)
  • 1 tablespoon of red decorating gel
  • 3 red miniature chocolate coated candies
  • 1 tablespoon of large yellow sprinkles

Instructions

Stack 2 large marshmallows in order to make the cupid's body. Secure the marshmallows with some frosting. Use additional frosting to attach the cracker halves to the back of marshmallow stack; these will form the wings. Using more frosting, atttach miniature marshmallows for the cupid's arms.

Cut licorice crosswise into two equal pieces. Use a small pair of scissors in order to feather the end of one piece for the feather end of arrow. In order to make the other end of the arrow, attach a small piece of candy to the other end of the piece of licorice.

Use a small pair of scissors in order to trim the center of the remaining licorice piece to 1/4 inch of opposite end. Bend one side of the licorice to form the "bow". Trim the opposite end in order to make it fit. Dampen the end of the piece of licorice slightly. Press the licorice in order to create a bended bow.

Attach the bow and arrow to the body using leftover frosting.

If desired, use icing, candies and sprinkles to decorate your marshmallow cupid.
