Basil Green Beans

Here’s an easy way to make your green beans mouth-wateringly delicious.

  • 2 cups fresh green beans
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tbsp each, onion and celery, both chopped
  • 1 tsp melted butter
  • 1½ tsp minced fresh basil (½ tsp dry)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Pinch of pepper

1. Cut the beans into 2-inch pieces.

2. Mix the chopped beans with the onion, celery and water in a saucepan. Cover the saucepan and let the mixture cook for 5 minutes or until the beans are tender.

3. Drain the water from the saucepan before adding the rest of the ingredients.

4. Stir everything to make sure the beans are properly coated. Serve immediately.
