Caramel Rice Pudding
Winter is a great time to indulge on sweets. Our caramel rice pudding is a delicious winter dessert that will make you forget all about the weather outside! Caramel rice pudding is also a great winter party recipe. Our recipe takes 4 hours to make, with 55 minutes of prep time needed. But we promise you, it's worth the effort!
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup of short-grain rice
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 30 grams of butter
- 1 1/2 liters milk (you can add more if desired)
- 300ml cream
- 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, grated
Wash rice thoroughly and drain.
Mix rice with remaining ingredients. Place ingredients in a buttered or greased baking dish.
Let ingredients bake in a slow-cooking oven at 284 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until rice is creamy and tender in consistency and until milk and cream have a thick consistency; a golden crust should also have formed. Stir approximately every thirty minutes while cooking and more milk if rice becomes too dry.
This dish can be served either hot or cold.
If desired, cook pudding in individual dishes or bowls and serve directly.
