my friend is having a baby shower and we are inviting about 30 frieds and family, is it unethical to assign gifts from my guest?

wit the economy right now i guess it would be ok if we asked for our friends the gifts we need, assign it in groups so that it wouldn't be that expensive for them

30 friends ehhh? must be friendly then! its best to assign gifts,,,, we don't want to have a surplus of baby clothes or baby bottles right?

my officemates took care of the car seat and my friends gave us a baby crib. my family took care of the rest.... and all bought the stroller....
baby showers are fun!!!
