you should confirm your guest list with the mom-to-be.
She is the very person who needs to enjoy the party and so you'll have to confide with her if she wants her husband and other people to be there in the party. Some guys might actually feel awkward so you'll have to verify with both parties.

I totally agree! this is the mom-to-be's big day too.. (not just the baby's)... you don't need to have big crowd. For me, just a few close friends would do...

generally, boys are not really into this kind of thing. But i think it would also be nice if the father can join in celebrating baby showers. After all, the celebration is about their child, so he is a vital part of it too.

The people you'll invite in the shower party is also more or less the same people you will see during baptism. For the godparents-to-be, it's good that they become of this occasion.
