what are the common causes of infant colic? I know that colic normally disappears as the infant ages, however how does one know that it is just colic and not something serious?

it really is a frustrating problem especially if you can't seem to find a good way to pacify the kid. It is kind of hard to point out a specific cause but a few reasons could be that your child is allergic to the formula or the milk. If the crying won't stop even after several attempts to pacify and if it occurs frequently, it is best to check with your doctor. After all, it's always better to be safe than sorry :)

your kid is colicy if he or she cries a few minutes after feeding. if this happens then you should get your baby checked at once.
