is it true that pacifiers can cause teeth deformity?? I use a pacifier for my kid a lot. It really helps me soothe her especially if I'm trying to put her to bed... but then, I don't want her teeth to get deformed.... What should I do?

prolonged use of a pacifier or thumb sucking can actually cause dental abnormalities. It may be fine to use pacifiers if all else fails, but as much as possible avoid using pacifiers.

why not wean your baby from the pacifier? i see no purpose for this anyway.
