MamasBoy23 - February 25th, 2011 12:50 PM

i think its only a few who uses brown bag. most of us are well informed about green living. it is more advisable to use lunch boxes.

auburn_1980 - February 26th, 2011 2:29 AM

there's always the alternative instead of brown bags use the plastics one's they can always keep the foods in place

LiSa - February 26th, 2011 1:38 PM

That is the dillemma. Brown bags are environment friendly because the bags are recyclable and biodegradable. On the other hand, it is not helping the cutting down of trees in the forest.

Plastic are not biodegradable. It is polluting the environment. BUt it helps minimize cutting down of trees.

So what to use?

iLoveParis - February 27th, 2011 2:42 PM

Lunch boxes is the new brown bag. Too much wast of paper.

BEA228 - March 3rd, 2011 4:31 AM

Agree with the poster above me. Make do with a reusable lunch box. For one, lunch boxes are not expensive. If you are environment conscious it helps that you are not wasting paper or polluting the environment with disposable plastics.

Oh, put the food/sandwich in zip lock bags. These are reusable too. Instruct your child not to throw it away after use.

Brown bags and boxes are the same, both are economical and environmental friendly. just make sure that the boxes are those recyclable plactics (number on the bottom is below 4) to make sure its recyclable in case it gets crack or daagae as for the brown bag, just make sure is one of those recycled papaer.
