It's so hard to convince my son to help in the household chores. It's either he is "too" bus or always "too tired"... at times I end up reprimanding the kid... I mean, i don't want him to grow up as a lazy couch potato... I really want to teach him a sense of responsibility... but it's so close to impossible! I don't know how else to convince him.

mandatory tasks should be age-appropriate. You can put a little increase in his allowance. He should understand that everyone in the family chips in to the best of his or her abilities without expecting to be paid for every single task. Bigger jobs, tasks that take a lot more time than his daily to-do list, or projects that aren’t strictly related to the day-to-day running of the family (like, cleaning the garage or washing the car or cleaning the attic and what-have-yous) could be paid.

best thing to do give him a huckeberry finn, kid are just to envious so if you pretend that your enjoying something they want to be part of it, show the fun part of doing task.
