I am just curious. My Daughter is a crazy girl. Running, jumping, screaming, rolling, skipping etc.. ALL DAY until she goes to bed. She needs constant entertainment ALL DAY and does not nap.

Is this normal? I will be fine with it if I hear that they are all like this! ha.

A note, she goes to school 2x a week for a couple of hours, does ballet for an hour and will start My Gym on the weekend for an hour. I have never been one to think that a kid needs a ton of activities, but I am starting to think twice about that.
Thoughts?

OMG!!! my DD is the same way. She NEVER stops. She talks nonstop, and demands you talk back to her, runs, dances, jumps, whatever, you name it. I have a newborn at home and by the time 8 pm comes I am beyond exhausted. My daughter goes to daycare everyday, but in addition to that does ballet/tap, tee ball, which will start soon I hope, and have a trampoline thing in her room that she is constantly on when not trying to jump on the furniture.

I have recently invested about $50 in come craft stuff from Michael's craft store. I bought markers, crayons, felt sticker things, tons of regular stickers, different kinds of child safe decorative scissors, glue sticks, pom poms, construction paper, etc and put them in plastic shoe boxes, and in the evening I get one of the boxes out and let her play with it at the kitchen table. It really has seemed to help with some of the hyper activity. I also got her a big play-doh kit with a table and tons of stuff. She gets into that some too. But both of those only last, at most, an hour before she is bored and ready for something else.

Oh how I can't wait until Spring so it is warm enough for her to go outside!

Yeppers!!! I make my Henry take a rest in the afternoon. He naps some days and some days he just sits in his bed and "reads" for abt an hour. Even if he does not nap - I neeeeed the rest.

My 4 yr old ds has been that way I think since birth!!! Even if he's tired, he still goes like an Energizer bunny. He goes to school 2x a week and I just signed him up for another month of an optional extended day program on Thursdays. Next year, I'm sending him to an all day PreK 3x a week. I'll also have to find something for him to do! We're moving so I need to start doing my research of what's available in the area!

Oh my gosh I thought it was just my 4 year old who turned 4 in November. He's so different from my oldest so this is something I'm not use to.

I think it's totally normal. My son has so much energy, even on days he doesn't nap. However, the last 3 days he's been super crazy and Happy... I was wondering if it was the moon but it's not full so maybe it's the crazy winds we're having here in L.A... LOL but it's probably just being 3.
