URTI or Upper respiratory tract infections are the illnesses caused by an acute infection which involves the upper respiratory tract: nose, sinuses, pharynx or larynx. This commonly includes: tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, otitis media, and the common cold.

My son and I has it. Its sad. I don't know if we can still cure it.

Did you seek professional advice and help already? What country are you from. You should go to a doctor as soon as possible. If you can't afford it you can seek for help from your local government. Maybe there are state hospitals that offer free consultation and checkup.

Your doctor is the best person who can help you. Make your child drink a lot of water and eat healthy food.

It is curable, but it is contagious. Better seek treatment before you spread it around the neighborhood or at school/office.

By the way, did you know that the most common URTI is the common cold?
