No matter what we use, my daughter always cries that it hurts her eyes. What shampoo/conditioners are you and are they tear-free?

i am using the kind of hair and body wash all-in-one for my kid's bath. it's something that has a label for sensitive and delicate type of skin for babies.

Top to toe wash with no tears formula is very safe and perfect for children. Milk bath for babies can do too.

We actually use regular shampoo and conditioner on my son...he's 3. I purchase Biolage for myself, so I use it on him too. When I wash his hair I just cover his face with a hand towel and have him look up at the ceiling. He actually prefers this way over using the tear-free stuff...he asks for the hand towel every time.

Johnson and Johnson...it's the only tear free shampoo and conditioner for curly hair that I've been able to find. My daughter still likes to swim in the bath tub with her eyes open so it has to be tear free.

They use a Suave body/hair liquid soap, it's for kids. Have not heard any complaints about hurting eyes.

We like the Burt's bees - I love the smell and have used it on my son since he was a baby. He has eczema and this never seems to bother it for him. He has very thick, coarse hair, but even though this is a body wash/shampoo combo it still seems to work fine for him. One bottle seems to last a long, long time, too!

We use Shaklee Baby Gentle Wash. It's 99% natural, 76% organic and contains no toxic chemicals. My daughter cries most of the time when I wash her hair out of habit. It's not that the soap is hurting her, but that she doesn't like getting her hair washed. When a soap is "tear-free", they add a chemical that numbs the eyes so it won't hurt. Not too sure if that's safe or not, but I try to put as less chemicals on, in, or around my daughter as possible and trust Shaklee products first. They are the #1 natural nutrition company in the U.S. and have been around for 54yrs. They have a trusted reputation for safe, high-quality, and effective products.
