I'm having a hard time dealing with my son and his mood swings. If I'm strict, he retaliates, when I deal with him gently, he would also manipulate me all the more. I'm so stressed out!

give him responsibilities, make feasible for your kid. reward if you give a great job and talk to them if they did not make it. This will teach him to challenge himself and respect you

what's the cause of the mood swings. If you get rid of the cause then you get rid of the effects.

moping, pouting and being moody is just one of the ways kids communicate your feelings. So listen to your child and what he is trying to tell you.

This is one of their ways of getting your attention. And you can only be manipulated only if you let yourself to be. You are the boss of your child not the other way around. Discipline is hard but necessary.

What is the reason why he is moody? This can be a cry for attention on his part. As for being manipulative, this will only get worse if you keep on indulging him.
