Chocolate Easter Nests

Not only are these nests scrumptious to eat, but they also look very festive. You may want to put these out before dinner as Easter decorations on your table.

  • 6 cups corn flakes or shredded wheat cereal (crumbled)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or 6oz. Bakers chocolate
  • Jellybeans, chocolate covered raisins or candy eggs
  • Mixing bowl, muffin pan, spoon and aluminum foil (optional)

1. In your mixing bowl, crumble the shredded wheat cereal so that it is all loose. There should be no chunks. If you are using corn flakes, then just pour them into the bowl.

2. Melt the chocolate and mix it in with the cereal. Make sure all the cereal is thoroughly coated.

3. Once the cereal and chocolate are completely mixed, spoon the mixture into the muffin pan. If you want, you may line the muffin pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper first. This will reduce your clean up time and may make it easier to get the nests out later on.

4. Use the spoon to pat down the mixture into a nest shape. Place pan into fridge for an hour or until the nests have hardened.

5. When these nests are properly cooled, remove them from the fridge and fill them with candy.
