Surprise your Valentine with our supersweet valentines day cards. Perfect for the kids to take to school and share with their friends!

What You'll Need

  • 8 1/2 x 11 construction paper or card stock in whichever colors and/or patterns you desire
  • stickers (such as hearts, cupids, etc.)
  • scissors
  • pinking shears (optional)
  • glue
  • glitter (pink, red, white)

Instructions

Start out by cutting a piece of construction paper or card stock into four equal pieces.

Fold the quartered paper in half so as to make a card.

For the easiest version, use stickers to decorate or cut out hearts from a different color of construction paper or card stock to glue onto your cards. This version is especially great if your children are preschoolers.

You can also use glitter to decorate your Valentine's Day cards. For example, you can use glue to draw on a heart or Valentine's Day greeting (such as "Be Mine"). Sprinkle a generous amount of pink, red or white glitter onto the glue and allow to dry over night. When the glue has completely dried, tap off excess glitter.

If your children are older, let them use pinking sheers in order to cut out heart shapes and let them glue the shapes onto the cards. Use contrasting colors and patterns in order to create a pleasant design.

Once glue is dry, cards may curl up slightly. Place cards between the pages of a heavy book and leave over night or until flattened completely.
