I always made my babies mashed veggies for their solid food. Now for my youngest it seems that he is picky as he prefers the ones in the jar like Gerber instead of the ones I make. Are these kinds of foods 100% natural and preservative free?

I think they're OK. I gave them to my kids too and they love the different flavors from Gerber! I think they dont have preservatives they are just stored in airtight jars.

Gerber will add variety to your mashed vegetables and even though I dont think they are delicious, kids seem to think so!

hahahaha! I guess in baby world, their food tastes great!

variety is good. you can continue to give him your mashed fruits and veggies and the ones in the jar... this will add more food stuffs in your child's menu.

I agree. with a wider range of flavor and dishes your kids wont become picky eaters!

LOL... I dunno why kids find them delicious too. They taste like goo.

anyway, i think Gerber is natural. the technique in keeping the foods fresh in in the vaccumed jars.

arent they pureed food? i think they are natural?

milkyway - December 19th, 2010 3:01 AM

they are natural pureed food that is put into vacumed jars. this way there are no germs or bacterias present and this prolongs and keeps the food fresh.

mashed and pureed food is ok. i think this is the same stuff as those in the jars. :)
