do you think that all kinds of fruit is OK to give to a baby below 12 months?

desiree - December 29th, 2010 4:16 AM

i think all fruit is OK so long as there are no seeds on them.

Tameeka - December 29th, 2010 3:26 PM

most probably. ive never tried giving them exotic foods like mangosteen at this age though. just the conventional ones like apples, pears, mangoes and bananas.

so long as they dont have allergies then i would say it is ok to give them fruits.

SharmaineG - December 31st, 2010 4:23 AM

yes. kids like fruit and this is a good alternative and healthy instead of giving them chips or junk food.

i give them banana, apples, pears and most other fruits at this age. it is good to give them variety. i just stay away from the more exotic kinds.

if you give something like watermelon just make sure to take the seeds out.
i also stay away from strawberries since lots of kids have strawberry related allergies.

patty - January 2nd, 2011 4:49 AM

yes. so long as they are seedless and the kids arent allergic then fruits of all kinds are OK.

hannah - January 3rd, 2011 3:09 AM

if they like the fruits then yes.

fruits are very nutritious, try to make a fruit shake on it, but make sure its fresh fruits

Only common fruits that I also eat and won't cause allergies or too acidic. Ya, I avoid exotic fruits. One advice, I have always done this, make sure the fruit are cut into very little pieces. If not in the proper size your baby can handle it can become a choking hazard.
