how long will it take for the the baby's cord to fall off?

i am afraid to clean my baby's belly button because of the cord. How may days will it take for it to fall off? they say that it will just fall off on its own.

It would take like a week or 2 but there are times when the pedia will remove it when it is dry before it falls off on its own. Ask your pedia also on how to clean the belly button properly to avoid infection.

At first I was very scared to touch the cord and I got worried because it should be cleaned. I asked help from the doctor and I got used to it. You just need to use alcohol and cotton buds.

it fell of after a week and a few days. the only problem i have now it the cleaning. the belly button looks painful because a little blood is still visible every time i clean it and i am afraid to put alcohol because it might hurt. what do you think? is it normal to still have blood from it?

it is normal but will only last for a week. you just continue cleaning it with alcohol and don't worry because it won't hurt them.
