Hi! I'm currently breastfeeding my baby who is 3 weeks old. What I have noticed is that he has kind of a "watery stool". Others say it's normal if you breastfeed your baby, is that true? I'm just a little concerned... I just want to get a confirmation if this is normal. thanks.

Hi there! Very loose stools can also be normal for breastfed babies. But if your not comfortable with your baby's stool, checking with his pediatrician would be good.

That is actually one advantage of breastfeeding... it is unlikely for your baby to get constipated. But the question how "loose" is it? and what is the color? If your baby feeds well and does not show any symptoms that he/she is ill or feel ill then maybe it is just normal.
