How do you divide chores at home. How old before you gave your kids chores to do at home?

I think school age, around 4 is a good time to ask kids to help with chores. something easy like sweeping the floor for crumbs or setting the table is pretty easy for kids this age.

When we were kids we would alternate chores. So I think this is how we would do it when the kids are old enough. For now my partner and I divide the chores between us and we have someone who cleans the house 2x a week.

hmmm... perhaps when the kids are older they can have their own chores. Chores can teach kids responsibility.

we start training them early. for the young kids they have to keep their toys after playing with them. that's a rule. the older kids help with small chores like setting the table, sweeping the floor etc.

my kids are still young but I will definitely be assigning them chores later on.

chores can teach kids responsibility. so yes. they have chores. even something small as keeping their toys is a big help already.

easy chores for the smaller ones and harder chores for the big ones. my hubby is also always the dish washer as I always cook our meals! :)

they are asked to help as soon as they are old enough. there are a lot of light chores kids can do at home like sweeping the floor or picking up their toys.

we have a big family so everybody always has something to do especially chores. chores can help kids work together and learn about responsibility.

as soon as they are old enough then I ask them to help out. with a house-full of kids there's always something to do at home!
