I've found that little rewards really count! My faves are: good coffee beans, a new song or two for the iPod, a glass of wine in the evenings with a yummy indulgent snack (baked brie is a favorite!), an hour or two at the bookstore all by myself.

This sounds a good idea. Well haven't been rewarding myself lately. I would love a good massage and if there is enough finances and time then I would give myself a long memorable vacation.

well, i love to drink coffee a lot and a couple glasses of wine perhaps on a Saturday evening in a cozy overlooking resto along the beach with my hubby. i often find it interesting to pack-up for a short trip along the river and go picnic while waiting for that breathtaking sunset. :) ooh, and to add it up, i love the sun, sea and sand as the most best reward i can give to myself.

visiting a garden farm is one of my fave rewards for myself. the vast sight is totally refreshing and inviting to people who are looking for zen and peace of mind.

Mine, strangely, is taking an extra long shower, while my husband watches our son! The majority of my showers consist of having my son sitting in and taking a bath as well. So, when I take my extra-long and hot showers, plus adding taking my time to get clean... That is perfect! I never mind adding a nice glass of merlot afterwards!

Mani, pedi, hair dyed, alone time, drinks with friends, a mini-vacation...

MamaRoche - October 30th, 2010 3:39 PM

Ohh...I'm so glad someone mentioned mini-vacation, since I'm taking my first this weekend, to go see friends I haven't seen in 10 years. My husband was very pleasant about it when I brought it up - he wanted to go too, but I explained to him that I actually need a vacation by myself. He did say that it was a little weird - but I explained to him that since he travels for work (I can be alone with the kids up to 14 days at a time, our families are out of state and overseas), he probably doesn't get the feeling I have that it would be nice to just get away from it all for a bit. I know it's a big luxury, and I'm thankful. Apparently he mentioned it to his parents, and was surprised when his mom was all for it, saying that when she was my age with 3 kids it never occurred to her to do something like that, but it probably would have been very healthy for everyone.

2 Hours of shopping time!!!

CrazyEye - October 30th, 2010 3:43 PM

After a long week of dealing with my kid I reward myself with a girl's night out or just hang out with my neighbor and drink some wine, and when I have extra $ I go shopping or get my hair and nail's done.
