same here... big problem with stretchmarks. i gained so much with my pregnancy that i had so much marks until now that my child is already 4 years old. any fast solution mothers?

i guess everyone is facing this kind of problems whether the condition of the stretchmarks are worst or light. you can try to put on lotion for maintenance everyday to lighten it up as time goes by. you just need to be patient enough because it won't go away right there and then.

i don't have much problem with stretchmarks because I did not scratch my skin when i got pregnant my only problem is the excess pounds i gained. i think those marks will eventually fade in time.

I think stretchmarks are permanent unless you undergo an expensive medical treatment to get rid of it totally. Practically speaking using all those lotions and creams will only make you spend more and the results are not guaranteed at all.

i agree with Patricia, yes stretchmarks lotions can really help although as she said, it doesn't literally go away, but surely will lighten it up so it won't be very visible by the naked eye.

Shea butter or cocoa butter have helped mine to fade... But they're still there and very much visible. My son is almost 14 months old too. Losing the baby weight will help too. Good luck... But I say embrace them. They're the battles scars of a mother. :)

raw Shea Butter is the #1 in my book, it totally helps lighten the stretch marks and make them blend in with your skin color

Yeah they really suck! but its all part of being a mother theres alot of creams out there but In some you just spend more for what you get in results. loosing weight will help but at the end we just have to accept them to be a part of us.

Oprah did a show on the face cream she uses and it is supposed to have active live collagen in it (meaning taken from live human skin). It is contraversial though because the skin cells used in it are the bi-product of infant male foreskins. I have heard good things about it, but I just cannot bear to use it myself. If it isn't an issue for you, you may want to look it up. Other than that, laser or a tummy tuck.

I've heard that lazer treatment have impoved a ton in the last 5 years or so. I have horrible Stretch Marks and have been researching for a "cure" for the last 2 years. Lazer treatment are expensive but the most effective.

tellMEsomething - November 4th, 2010 10:07 PM

Nah! I've given up on my stretchmarks. I already have 2 children and the youngest is 5 yrs old. My marks are still visible no matter what I apply and take in. I don't know what more to do.

samantha - November 5th, 2010 11:13 PM

you have a point there tellmesomething because those marks are really hard to erase. No matter how expensive your application or procedure is.
