I cant remember having swollen feet while pregnant. My sister who is in her last trimester has swollen feet. what re some ways of relieving her discomfort?

XeraSmith - December 9th, 2010 3:22 AM

tell your sister to lay off the salt. bloating is pretty common during pregnancy.

DaNiElLe - December 10th, 2010 3:25 AM

I agree! Salt really contributes to water retention which is the cause of her swollen feet.

hannah - December 11th, 2010 3:22 AM

water retention is normal but she can avoid it by not eating salty foods!

some fertility meds can also cause water retention so if she used them then this could be a side effect.

i had swollen feet too... plus an achy back. I was told to stay off sweets and salt!

i stopped feeling bloated and bloating after I gave birth. hahaha!

TWINKLE - December 19th, 2010 4:25 AM

i think this is normal. it might be because of the salt or hormones but it is quite normal and common during pregnancy.

milkyway - December 19th, 2010 11:29 AM

i agree. when i get pregnant i feel like even my fingers have gained weight! it goes away after the birth tough so no worries.

for the swollen feet it will go away once you give birth. my biggest discomfort while pregnant is achy back.

hahaha... i remember this well. i think most women feel bloated during pregnancy.
