my 12 year old boy is starting to have acne problems... We went to see a dermatologist and he was given a topical medication to apply to his face. The problem is he is too lazy to use the medication. It's really affecting his skin... any suggestions on how he can avoid getting acne?

Wash (but don't scrub) his skin twice a day with a mild soap. Avoid harsh cleansers or scrubs, as they can irritate your son's skin. That shouldn't be so hard to do :)

Don't pop or pinch pimples.

don't put oily or greasy substances on your face or hair. anything that is hypoallergenic would I think work best.
