some of my daughter's teeth are still coming out and the gums are a bit swollen. any natural remedies you ladies can post is appreciated.

my mom said rum... not to drink but some rum on a cotton ball is soothing... according to her. i still have to try this remedy

if it is really painful then some very mild age appropriate pain killers will probably do the trick faster than traditional remedies.

i am not too sure on the rhum but for swollen gums but we give our kids a teething ring that has been in the freezer for an hour. this way it is cool and will soothe the swollen gums.

i think the rhum would work well if the swelling were caused by bacteria.

Bennie's idea is quite good. swollen gums can be irritating and painful. the coolness of the teething ring will ease it.

i think ice is also Ok. but an adult has to supervise lest the kid swallow the ice!

its temporary so i think the iced teethers will do her good. when my kids were teething i just usually give them the same thing!
